Working in tech, it’s always a challenge to find the right outfit balance between casual and business. Overdressing makes you less approachable to the client, and underdressing makes you look unprofessional. Today, with all the incredible technical wear options out there, it’s easier for women to get the same casual feel in workwear. This week, I’m unveiling my gem of a find from Tory Sport: the hybrid blazer. A sleek cotton blazer with an even chicer technical hoodie attached? Count me in.
This is a brand new active label from Tory Burch if you’re unfamiliar. Here’s why it needs to be on your radar: it’s appropriate for work and working out. This label boasts beautiful workout leggings and tennis sets, and also a myriad of lifestyle pieces. I’m a total sucker for anything blue, and when these leggings appeared in my Instagram feed a few months ago, I knew I had to head to the flagship store to do my due diligence. I’ll even be honest, I’m not much of a Tory Burch fan either, it’s just not my style. This sport line changed my mind.
I walked in looking for the iconic leggings and came out with a second find, the Convertible Tech Ponte Blazer. Now that I travel more often for work as a territory sales manager, it’s important that I appear professional yet relatable. This blazer does exactly that: I feel comfortable while working, and not so casual that I get pegged as some rookie millennial. I highly suggest any of you working in business casual offices grab one of these ASAP!
THESE. I haven’t found a more comfortable pair of leggings since. These leggings are engineered perfectly, from the fit to the feel. They’re light as air, yet not sheer, and stay in place while working out. I want them in every color. Tory Sport will be a continuous staple in my future workout wardrobe!
