The sneakers with everything trend is in full swing, however, the strategy of nailing the trend can be a bit challenging. Especially if you’re still getting comfortable with being fashion forward. However, like anything, there’s a formula for it. This week’s blog post is just that: the code to dress sneakers up and down.
Variable One: Your Outfit’s Primary Fabric
Your accessories should always compliment your outfit’s primary fabric. What complimenting doesn’t mean: matching fabrics. While a monochrome look can be stylish, you always want to have differences in texture in play. For example: if you’re wearing sequins, pick an underrepresented color in the individual sequin itself. This will bring out the color in the skirt, and help build a cohesive look.
Variable Two: Code Of Dress
When it comes to dress codes, I love playing with different heel heights and varying levels of bling. Everyday styles include flats, more formal include styles like wedges and platforms. Some of my favorite styles for each code of dress are linked below:
Formal Sneakers: Metallics & Wedges
Business Casual Sneakers: Solids & Leather
Casual Sneakers: Flat & Fun
