When it comes to the mini skirt trend, I often gravitate to statement ones instead of more basic ones. Why? It’s such a fun piece to pair with simple tees, sweatshirts, and anything else that’s a staple in your closet. Pair that statement skirt with technical fabric? Now you’ve definitely got my attention!
The Mini Skirt
I’ve been loving the longer skirts by Aimee Nielsen and got a chance to sample her spring line of mini’s this week. The weather is still kind of meh here in New York, but I can feel it slowly changing, getting me super excited to rock some of these mini scuba skirts around town. The second cool aspect of these skirts is their scuba material, making them rigid enough for a statement, yet comfortable for everyday wear. A skirt I also don’t have to dry clean or worry about wrinkles? Count me in. Wearing activewear truly street styled has never been more fun.
Mini-Life Update
While I continue to unpack and sort my clothing, I’ve been taking full advantage of my Rent The Runway Unlimited subscription. I found this amazingly comfy and chic piece by DVF and knew it had to come play with this mini-skirt. If you haven’t taken a deeper dive into what the Unlimited subscription is all about, here’s the short list: $159 a month, pause/cancel anytime. When you think about how many random pieces you frivolously purchase throughout the month, and tally the subsequent dry cleaning, it makes total sense! Instead of investing in trendy pieces, this will be my new go-to for everything from tops, skirts, to statement jackets. Check it out here!
