Valentine’s Day Inspo: The Rose Gold Edition

As someone who tends to stay in the neutral palette, Valentine’s Day dressing can often be a struggle. Not a particular fan of bright red or pink, or patterns? I feel you. Instead, leverage the trendy power of rose gold this year.

Accessorize with rose gold.

I’ve been obsessed with rose gold when it comes to metals, as regular gold has never been a favorite of mine. Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion to let that trend run wild! It makes a killer combo with black, and this year’s V Day outfit easier than ever to put together as a result. If your wardrobe contains a ton of black, or neutrals, this is an easy and cost-effective alternative. I added my favorite pair of rose gold sunnies to this ensemble, and it made quite the pop against an otherwise monochromatic outfit.

Repurpose your favorite seasonal LBD.

I’m an obvious lover of LBDs and all pieces black, as they usually stand the test of trendy time, and help combat frivolous purchases for seasonal events. If you’re not a huge pink or red person, don’t feel obligated to wear it! There are so many other ways to accessorize with smaller pops of color. This sweater dress from H&M has been on mega repeat all season, as it’s fancy enough for Christmas parties, and transitioned right into February. I have some fun outfit ideas planned for it for NYFW this week, so stay tuned to watch how it makes the switch!

Statement shoes make the outfit.

Everyone has a pair of statement shoes, and likely, a pair that’s either red or pink! There’s another way to cut down on costs and closet bulk! My Rockstuds were an obvious choice this year for Valentine’s Day. The pop of neon pink is a great combo with rose gold and really brought the rosy color full circle for this outfit. Pro casual tip: swap your heels for a killer pair of rose gold sneaks. It’s a fun way to change it up for the office, or for a date! I love my Adidas Superstars with this outfit too.
