Ever feel like your office wardrobe is the least comfortable (and/or fashionable) corner of your closet? Worse yet: feel like you have to maintain two separate wardrobes for work/life? Yeah, I was with you about three years ago. Luckily to our advantage, workwear is beginning to get a mind-blowing makeover these days! I’m referring to the fact that our most favorite fabrics (stretchy pants anyone?) are making their way into our standard office-friendly designs, and I’ll make sure you’re not missing any of it. You flat out can tell your uncomfortable office blouse to F off, in fact.
As many of you know from my Instagram stories and posts, I got the chance to meet the ADAY team, and get a deeper understanding of the story behind the brand during their Simplicity Tour last month. I’ve followed them for a while, loving their fresh new approach to transitional clothing. Gone are the days of sneaking our workout leggings into our business casual: some brands are beginning to make designs that are truly meant to be appropriate for both (say goodbye to the logo shame of your older leggings!). ADAY is one of them, and their Something Borrowed Shirt is literally my favorite piece on the planet for work.
It goes without saying I have shit loads of spandex, and most of them aren’t quite office or casual ready. This poses two problems: I have more clothing (which stresses me out), and have to maintain an almost completely separate wardrobe for every stage of my life. Sound familiar?
The Office Blouse That Actually Does It All
Now: imagine a world where you can throw your office blouse in the same load as your workout clothes. Sound totally and completely ridiculous? Get ready to have your mind blown: ADAY has created a truly transitional and fuss-free blouse that you need to try ASAP. I’m not even kidding: think silk that acts like spandex! Kiss that dry cleaning bill goodbye and trade your usual work top for one of these. It’s honestly one of the most comfortable button-downs I’ve ever worn, and if you hate having to wrestle yourself into your daily work tops, trade them for this!
I paired it with my favorite slacks, the Tommaso Pant, and the most comfortable slides I’ve ever worn, these amazing silver loafers from the Nordstrom sale! If you’re looking for slides that don’t require the painful break-in, these are it. I can’t wait to get another pair in another color!
