Banana Republic x Olivia Palermo: My NYFW Recap

Hello again loves! It’s been a whirlwind of experiences and work since Fashion Week begun, I know I have been a bit MIA here, and I am finally back in the blogging groove to share the biggest highlights and inspiration I brought home with me to San Francisco. One of my favorite collections I experienced was on the second day of Fashion Week, for Olivia Palermo’s capsule with Banana Republic. I wanted to share it first because it is GOING.TO.SELL.OUT. There were pieces that fit into every season, making it not only a transitional piece you can add to your closet, but also incredibly timeless. I fell in love with all the soft details and muted patterns (I’m not even a pattern kinda gal) and HAD to snag this incredible lace adorned sweater the second I saw it in darker colors.

Not only is it beautiful, it’s also incredibly comfortable, and easy to pack. I am jet setting a little more these days, so it’s super important to me to find outfits that aren’t high maintenance when it comes to being packed and photoshoot ready shortly thereafter. It resists wrinkles and plays well with my active fashion pieces like my fave pair of Carbon38 pants. This show was incredible, to say the least: it was hosted in 5th Avenue’s Banana Republic, a beautifully immersive and intimate event with other bloggers and media. I’m STILL pinching myself that I had the chance to meet Olivia Palermo in person, and even get a picture with her post show! She’s always been a style idol of mine: timeless, strong-willed, and effortlessly gorgeous. She’s even more beautiful and sweet in person!

At New York Fashion Week, I paired it with this amazing skirt from the Target x Victoria Beckham collection, and it was a total hit. I even got my very first street style feature on AOL wearing it at the Banana Republic x Olivia Palermo show that day!! I was ALL about being comfortable and fashionable this year, and it’s a trend that’s not going unnoticed these days. Be true to yourself, and wear things that make you happy and feel your best inside. It’s the spirit of this blog, and a concept I will continue chasing, so many exciting things are to come, so stay tuned!
