WHAT UP: I know, it’s been a minute, and I’m spilling the reason why now.
With the holiday season rapidly approaching, excitement and work have been at an all-time high and it’s been overwhelming, but in the best way possible. Why’s that, you ask? Well, I’ve hinted at it before, and this week, I’m letting the cat out of the bag: I am moving to New York City after the holidays! My lack of posts recently has been due to me orchestrating my move out of the amazing Marina apartment that has been my home for 5 years here this past weekend, while simultaneously taking on new endeavors in my professional career in technology sales (which sparked the move!). I’m also super excited to take my blog along on this adventure and have so much exciting content to share with you along the way. As always, follow along on my Instagram stories for clips of my real life and journey behind the camera!
…back to business now.
Holiday Beauty
I fucking LOVE holiday beauty: the special edition makeup palettes, glitter, and bold lips and dark nail tips speak to my soul. I also love adding in my staple pops of neon where appropriate. This week, I wanted to give a shout out to the phenomenal glow of Fenty Beauty. I’ve been wearing it since September, and have no plans of stopping anytime soon. Highlighters were at the forefront of the original collection, and it was my first purchase as well. Highlighting is also going to be HUGE for the holidays this season (insider secrets from my fave beauty contacts). If you haven’t jumped on board just yet, now’s the freaking time.
For this week’s look, I also wanted to showcase a fall-friendly color scheme outside of my usual go-to’s and settled on a cool toned burnt orange at the heart of it. This tone is everywhere right now, and these two deeper matte and metallic tones on the bottom row of the Natasha Denona palette are just incredible. It paired so well with Fenty’s Lightning Dust/Fire Crystal Killawatt Highlighter.
I’m also rounding up my top picks of limited edition holiday beauty sets and colors from my favorite retailers below, so you can snag them before they sell out!
My Holiday Beauty Must-Haves
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer: This thing is a cult fave for a reason! This glittery and tinted version got me hooked. I am obsessed with the Garnet one for the holidays!
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush: Hourglass has paved the way for strobing, and this blush will add to the holiday glow, while also smoothing your face like an Instagram filter, IRL and in photos.
Huda Beauty Obsessions Palettes: I LOVE Huda Kattan, and have been obsessed with her lashes for years. These palettes definitely do not disappoint either. There are so many ways to create your own personal burnt orange, red, or even neon for the holidays this season!
Pat McGrath Labs Mothership V Eye Palette: Pat McGrath has created an unbelievable product when it comes to eyeshadows. They aren’t dried out or hard to work with like some shimmery shadows. Instead, the formula is unmatched when it comes to blending.
Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil: Holy OMG! This gorgeous wintery frosting is perfect for illuminating your fall and winter face. I’m not a crazy glitter person either, and I love it.
Drunk Elephant The Littles Kit: You really thought you’d get out of here without a skincare recommendation? Not a chance! I am obsessed with Drunk Elephant, and now for the holidays, you get a kit of travel-sized products to try out for yourself at a lower price point! I can honestly say my skin looks and feels better after using this hydrating kit over the past month as the temperatures have dropped.
