On October 25th, Stuart Weitzman announced the super-secretive collaboration with Gigi Hadid, the Gigi Boot, with a mini film produced by James Franco, titled #doitright. In the film, Gigi is captured preparing to box, clad in an elegantly edgy ensemble of activewear. Instantly, I knew that the hiker inspired heel needed to become a part of my wardrobe.
They arrived last evening, and I wasted no moment to get them out on the town.
The boot comes in three colorways, Iron Specchio (featured), Copper Glass, and Croco Calf Leather. Being a lover of cool tones, I was immediately sold on the Iron Specchio. They are insanely comfortable, which is absolute GOLD living here in San Francisco. They may be my most favorite shoes to date!
The coolest fact about these boots, is the celebration of Stuart Weitzman’s philanthropic partnership with Pencils of Promise, a movement to build three schools: in Ghana, Guatamala, and Laos. My mother is an educator, so it was a cause that truly spoke to me as well. There is nothing more powerful than knowledge, and furthering education is a cause that will always be dear to me.
Gigi’s wish to make these boots transitional definitely came true! I have paired them with my favorite line of activewear here, Michi, and felt absolutely unstoppable walking the Embarcadero last night. The new Revolver Vest is super transitional, and can be paired with literally anything. I cannot wait to pair it or these boots with an evening ensemble.
I am also loving the new matte lipstick by YSL, and it’s quickly becoming my daily wear. It’s a comfortable wear matte as well, and makes it through the day without peeling or feathering. It comes in every color imaginable, and is well worth the $37 investment!
