You guys…I found THE perfect dress slacks.
There’s nothing like having a solid pair of dress slacks that are strong enough to resist wrinkles. There’s also nothing better than finding ones that pull double dress code duty. I’ve been traveling a ton this month for work between NYFW and my full-time career in technology, and have had to forego my overpacking tendencies when it comes to clothing, in order to not exceed the 50 pound weight limit and keep my sanity. Solo travel with more than 3 bags in tow gives you PTSD, especially in cities like New York!
Lemon & Buzz Skinny Fit Pant
Meet Lemon & Buzz, y’all: a womenswear brand based out of New York, that has some of the most comfortable yet classy options for the office and beyond. I was approached by this brand earlier this year, and after testing out its travel abilities for work meetings here in the city AND out on the town during NYFW, I’m hooked.
Feel
Who hates restrictive dress slacks? I feel you: after years of wearing the most uncomfortable dress pants ever (military uniforms), I swore I’d never wear dress pants again. That was partially the case until now, as I normally stick to skirts and dresses for the office. What’s cool about these pants is their expert design allows for roominess around the hip circle without added bagginess.
Material
Choosing a softer blended material ensures you’ll not only be comfortable but also look polished during periods of travel when you don’t have easy access to a washer or time to wait for dry cleaning. These viscose pants are incredibly soft and showed no signs of wrinkling when I unrolled them from my suitcase.
Styling
Here’s the big reveal…I also wore these pants for a final round interview in New York City this past week for my full-time career, and ended up getting the job! I’m convinced these polished pants gave me some extra love in the luck department. Yes, you read it right, I NOW LIVE in New York City! It’s been a crazy whirlwind of a week (wasn’t able to travel home to say goodbye or anything, seriously OMFG). I literally accepted the offer and had no choice but to start the same week. Don’t worry, I’ll be posting more about my moving story later on as soon as the dust from this month settles!
Back to styling: these pants made a killer NYFW look with my fave scuba top from Alexander Wang, pictured here. These pants and my Arrivals Moya will be on repeat this month as I settle into my new job and life out here in New York City!
