The first snowstorm of the winter season is going on in New York right now as I type this! This is one of my favorite seasons: I get to roll out my favorite loud jackets! sadly, I’ll be out to California tomorrow morning. Jackets are an easy way to level up an otherwise neutral outfit, especially in the winter when things are already a bit drab. It’s good to have options though: especially on classic basics that pair well with transitional weather outfits. I’ve rounded up all my favorites in this year’s winter coat edit!
Winter Coat Edit
The majority of these picks are on sale for the season, so it’s a great time to invest in a quality coat that will last you years. I don’t mind spending slightly more on a classic, warm design but aesthetically pleasing when paired with a fancier outfit. My top tip on making your dollar go the farthest? In order to do so, make sure you spend the most money on a solid colored parka that’s built to last first. Second, choose a fun faux fur option and add it to the mix. I invested in my initial parka early, and only started adding faux ones to my wardrobe this year. On the fence on what style is best? Head to Rent the Runway (who’s offering deals on trial subscriptions) to rent a few. For less than $100, you can rotate them out to learn your style.
